Hidden amongst the carnage of the old computer lab, we found some ex-military gear that was WAY cool. First was this monitor. It was a flatscreen (duh) but was very thin, with a high resolution (1280+), super brightness, and an EGA input that supported picture-in-picture.
The monitor also had insane viewing angles, and we could see the image on the screen at really severe angles. We had some fun with this little monitor, but the more we messed with, the more we started to realize that the thing was about ten years old, and was WAY ahead of it’s time. What’s more, it completely lacked a stand and had been designed to be flush mounted. This made us wonder where it had come from. The labels on the back listed the name of the company (INTSYS) that “donated it, and the metal plate listed the model number of the unit.
