Mobile Clinic

Mobile clinic is all about taking medical testing and care to the remote villages that can’t make it to the static clinic in town. On some days, our team tested upwards of 230 people in a single day. HIV/AIDS testing is very important, but more people suffer (and die from) malaria than HIV/AIDS. That’s not a political statement. Sick people are sick people, I just find it interesting that another very treatable disease is claiming lives. I was so culturally illiterate before the trip.
This is a shot of AOET staff and one of our team members working together. Can you guess which one is our team member? Pastor Nathan called us colorful. That’s a huge compliment coming from a Ugandan! =)
Waiting on medical test results is horrifying no matter what corner of the world you’re from.
