ws_ftp.ini is a configuration file for a popular FTP client that stores usernames, (weakly) encoded passwords, sites and directories that the user can store for later reference. These should not be on the web!

2004-08-15 23:57:47 (GuidoZ): That’s some good stuff. Just copy/paste the text into your own WS FTP ini file and you’re good as gold (assuming you’re using the same version). =P

Don’t forget – even if they have taken the file offline, use the “cache:FULL_URL/wsftp.ini” to see the contents.

2004-10-24 15:05:35 (serenh): probably one of the best exploits i have seen in a long time, when i did it there were about 20 vulnerable computers, just recently there was 4 so i hope whitehats got to this before anyone else. real nice !!

2005-01-20 06:17:02 (dbates1075): I changed this up a bit. I use “ws_ftp.ini filetype:ini” and get the file directly.

2005-06-24 01:38:27 (trekkie): how do you decrypt the passwords?

2005-11-25 08:33:59 (GcF): Why do you want to decrypt? Just use same version WS_FTP copy/paste ;)

2006-10-27 05:12:24 (kayceeclue): Today Thanks to you I have learned Something

But i will like to Know how to get the pass word .. most i saw was anunmouse … how can i get the user and passs….
